Dad came down in the morning to go explore the area.

We looked on the map for things to do, and settled for touring the Garden of the Gods, a large rock formation in the foothills. It was very pretty!

This guy was standing on the edge of a ledge, singing Christian songs out into the wind, in his dirty bare feet. His barefoot friend was in a crevice below this man't perch, philosophizing with him when he wasn't playing. There were nice places for real rock climbers with gear and something better than loafers to climb. I climbed around a bit on some rocks. After we were through with the Garden of the Gods we walked around the tourist-trappy part of Colorado Springs. It’s a quaint little section of the town, totally built for tourists and not for a sustainable population. You know, the sort of place that has only specialty stores and restaurants.
